Card of the Week
Every week or so I'll review a card based on how good it is to play. And by the way, I've changed my scale from 1-10 to 1-5, and since there are alot of new formats, I'll rate for unlimited, MMF and draft.
This weeks card is the trainer card Professor Oak's Research, a new supporter card from Expedition
Type: Uncommon Trainer.

Effect: Shuffle your hand into your deck, then draw 5 cards.
My friend Ivan checks in this week with his thoughts. Cheers!

This card, IMO, is overrated. Sure, you can play trainers during the same turn (with the exception of supporters of course), but 2 cards can make a huge difference (which is the reason we use Bill =P).

Unlimited - No place for Oak's Research here. This format is dominated with Computer Searches and Professor Oaks. You have all the drawing power you need. 2.5/5

MMF - It's better here, but not good enough. How can you possibly get all those big evolutions if you're missing 2 cards? I would prefer Copycat, because in MMF, not everyone empties their hand as quick as they do in Unlimited =P 3.5/5

Draft - OMG! TAKE IT! If you see any card that says "Draw X cards" on it, TAKE IT! DON'T ASK QUESTIONS NOW! =P 5/5

NEWS FLASH!! The first American set by Nintindo! This new set, which is tenetavly being called "EX", is due out June 18th to retailers. This set will feature the new pokemon from Nintendo's hit GBA games, Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Blaziken, Swampert, Dustox and many more new favorites will be here, along with a few old contenders. First, we had Shinning pokemon, then crystals. Now, there are EX pokemon, pokemon of extreme power and ferocity. These pokemon hit harder than any before them, but cost you 2 prizes when they get knocked out! Some confirmed EX pokemon are Mewtwo, Sneasle and Kyogre. I certainly can't wait!

Kyogre EX card. Scrye Promo
Card E, Skyridge: the New (and final) Expansion Of course, I mean final expansion from Wizards of the Coast. This, my friends, is pokemon at its best! Some of the new cards in this set are downright awesome! Crobat, Umbreon, Machamp, Xatu, Alakazam, Poliwrath and Beedrill, just to name a few! Definatly one of the best sets to come out so far, and it is certain; Wizards is going out with a BANG!

Combo of the Week Every week or so, I'll post a card combo that you can use to become a better player of the TCG. If you discover a combo, e-mail it to me so I can post it.
Note: This week's combo was submited by animeguy325.
This week's combo is fairly simple yet VERY frustrating to your opponet.
Step One: Your Active Poke`mon is a Jungle/Base 2/LC Snorlax.
Step Two: On you bench you have two different cards from the TR set; Drowzee and Dark Gloom. You can use both of their powers and, since Snorlax can't become Asleep, Confused, Paralyzed or Posined, if you flip tails, there will be no negitive status for you! And, since on of the effects is Posin, you can inflict BOTH effects on your opponet at the same time! Mabey have a few slowkings on your bench and you will have an almost compleate Lockdown. Almost no trainers and your opponet will have to deal with those status effects! This is truly nasty!

Effectivly comboing Snorlax W/ dark gloom and drowzee can have you opponets off balance and frustrated!
